It can be pretty daunting when you fire up a new content library and you are hit with hundreds if not thousands of new courses and/or videos. Where do you start? How do you know that what you’re choosing is the right thing?
There is no real right or wrong when it comes to launching your e-learning solution into your business. The key is to get started and to start somewhere. In our experience, the most successful implementations, introduce things gradually and in a controlled fashion. They might choose a few courses and ask everyone to give them a go. They might choose a small population of people and get their feedback, or they might pick a topic that they know is causing business problems and help solve a productivity problem. Any of these ways forward will get you kick-started.
It is fair to say that the more you let people know what is on offer, the more people will fill the gaps. Your solution will get used in ways you never envisaged. So, make sure you spread the word – let IT know, let H&S know, let Operations know. Start with what you do know and then let the business become the owner. They will get the real value out of what is on offer. They will also look for ways to make what’s on offer truly work.
