What types of Microsoft Office content are out there?

We’re going to answer this question a little bit differently than you might expect.

Sometimes, whilst it’s good to know that your chosen supplier has the greatest library of online video content known to mankind that’s only good if you’ve got people who want to learn all of this content or are new learners to the product that you need.

Do you actually need all that content? If the answer is Yes, then it’s an easy decision for you. But if you don’t, and your main focus is to increase your staff’s skills in Excel, or have them be brought up to speed with the new technology you’re installing like Office 365, then you may well consider that all of the other content is simply a distraction. Not to mention that however good the other content is, it may simply not relate to your business at all.

Another thing to consider is that you’re learning or improving your staff skills in Microsoft Office, probably the world’s most widely installed general office software. Whilst there is an expectation that people should know how to use it, I know and probably you know too, that this is not the case and that people struggle daily through their inefficiencies which, when multiplied by the number of staff and the days in a year, ultimately translates into a significant business cost.

Furthermore, the way we all work today is that if we want to find something out we go to the internet and search for the answer. In terms of general things like Microsoft Office people do this by searching through Google, Bing and other search engines and are served up a myriad of results and links to YouTube. Now, whilst some of these results may be exactly what you want this is not the most consistent and structured way to provide learning to your people.
